Ellivia Brierley is a freelance Artist Consultant and Studio Manager. She graduated from the Courtauld Institute of Art in 2019, where her MA focussed on Medieval art. Since graduating, Ellivia has carved a career in the contemporary arts sector, with experience working across commercial galleries, auction houses, art fairs, and private collections. Her roles within these spaces have ranged from marketing and sales, to research and event management. 

Collaborating with emerging artists, Ellivia provides practical, administrative, and operational support. With a working knowledge of the industry, she supports and guides artists at the developmental stage of their careers. Consultation sessions include critical discussion, engagement with artists’ practices, and a focus on refining and articulating clients’ artistic motivations. 

Current consultancy projects encompass writing and editing; including exhibition texts, artist statements, biographies, and press releases. Ellivia’s wider work comprises social media support, curation, proofreading, shipping and logistics, client communications, archiving, and sales support. Additionally Ellivia assists with applications for funding, open calls, prizes, and residencies.
